Stefano Pilati for Agnona
MF Textile StudioStefano Pilati for Agnona
The brand, which started 60 years ago as a manufacturer and supplier of fabrics for haute couture, made its debut in women’s ready-to-wear with Walter Albini in 1970. In 2000, the company was taken over by the Ermenegildo Zegna Group with the woolen mill. The collection was entirely produced in-house. To celebrate the brand’s 60th anniversary and his debut at the helm of Agnona, Zegna had named as creative director Stefano Pilati .
The former creative director of Yves Saint Laurent, who also headed the style department of Ermengildo Zegna had decided to overwhelm the classic rules of fashion by presenting a “season-less” collection.
The brand was distributed through about 400 multi-brand customers and about 30 single-brand stores, including 10 in Asia (6 in China, 1 in Korea, and 3 in Japan)
